3 Property Trends To Be Thankful For

Performance Property Real Estate Question

Q: Gerald, I’m having a hard time finding good real estate deals, is now a bad time to invest?  Karly, Cliffside Park, NJ

A: Hi Karly, great question.  It’s always a good time to invest in real estate, you just have to change your tactics and strategies depending on what’s going on in your local real estate market.  I saved this question specifically for Thanksgiving week, because although housing inventory levels are low, which I’m sure is responsible for some of your frustration, there are some really good real estate trends to be thankful for–here are 3:

1) While the real estate investing buy-side is more challenging, the sell-side of the business because of low inventory and high demand is easier–this good news for rehabbers who fix and flip properties–it shouldn’t take you very long to sell properties after they are renovated

2) Interest rates still historically low–this is very good for landlords

3) Property values are increasing as are rents in many places–this is good news for property investors

Thanks for your question, Karly and happy thanksgiving.  For more real estate tips and information visit my blog at geraldlucas.com.
